Tuesday, 6/12/2011 A group from Calvary Lutheran Church, a congregation from the Southeast Michigan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, visited the school to learn about the education processes and vocational programs that the school provides. The visitors were very pleased with the tour of the school which included a visit to the Kindergarten class where they were able to join the students in singing Christmas songs in English and Arabic. As a special surprise, the group was joined by Santa Clause in honor of St. Nicholas’ Day.

Tuesday night 6/12/2011 Members of the Evangelical Lutheran School in Beit Sahour and our school’s Administration joined our American visitors from Calvary Lutheran Church in Michigan, USA, for a time of socialization and a barbecue party that was held in their honor.
Tuesday, 6/12/2011 Through the special arrangement by our school, three Santa Clauses came to the school and gave all the students chocolate in hopes of spreading cheer at the fast approaching Christmas holiday. The children were extremely excited to see Santa Clause and pleased with their candy gift.

Additionally, the school’s administration arranged the performance of a Christmas play presented in the school hall for the Kindergarten class, during which the students joined the actors in singing Christmas songs.
Wednesday, December 14, 2011, The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission ( FELM ) – Finland- represented by its coordinator Mrs. Sirpa has donated some Christmas Gifts to the sponsored students of the school. So, and with great pleasure and joy, the Principal Mr. Shawki Hawash distributed the Christmas gifts to 52 students in different grades, bringing the smile to their faces in the Christmas Season.


Thursday, December 22, 2011, The Evangelical Lutheran School celebrated the Christmas Eve with the presence of Dr. Bishop Munip Yunnan, Rev. Imad Haddad, Dr. Charlie Haddad, Mr. Shawki Hawwash, and guests of the school.
During the event, the Choir sang Christmas songs and some Christmas plays where performed by the students of the school commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. The audience enjoyed the Eve and participated with the choir in singing and praying.
