On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, the Second and Third Grades went on an educational trip to the Nativity Church in Bethlehem, where they learned much about the place Jesus Christ was born. Our Religion teacher also spoke about the importance of the Church to the Christian people. The group then travelled to the Olive Press in Beit Jala where they learned first-hand about the olive and olive oil that they eat and use in their homes. Our Science teacher was able to teach them in the press about the importance of olives and olive oil.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2011, our Social Science teacher took the 11th grade students to the Ma’an News Agency in Bethlehem as a part of their curriculum. The students gained insight on the role of this agency in the Palestinian Territories.
On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, our Science Teacher took the students from the 10th and 11th Scientific classes to Bethlehem University as a part of their curriculum. The students learned many things, with special emphasis on Bone disease and what procedures can be taken to prevent it.

On Thursday, November 3, 2011, the Students’ Senate did an activity in the afternoon for the students and parents in honor of Parents Day. It was our first time holding this event, was successful, and enjoyed by all.

On Sunday, October 30, 2011, the School Administration held a festival after the Sunday morning church service to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the partnership program between our school and the Methodist Church in Britain.

On Saturday, October 29, 2011, the Kindergarten class went on an educational trip to the Olive Press in Bethlehem to learn how olive old is produced. After, they went to Aush-Gurab park in Beit Sahour for some fun and enjoyment.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, the 11th grade Art Stream went on an educational trip to Yamema Social Center in Beit Jala. The students learned about the Center, the art department, and the programs the Center provides for students with special needs. The Center teaches students the Dutch language, along with Arabic and English. Our students led a donation campaign for the students at the Center, and had the opportunity to present the donations to the principal on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran School.
On Friday, November 11, 2011, the Environmental Center of the Lutheran Church in Beit Jala and the Environmental Club of the Lutheran School joined together to participate in volunteer work in three areas in Beit Sahour to work towards keeping the city clean.


On Thursday, October 27, 2011, all 8th grade students from the four Evangelical Lutheran Schools participated in the annual Reformation Day Events which were held in Talita Kumi in Beit Jala.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2011, the 11th and 12th Scientific classes went on an education trip to Jerusalem University in Abu Dees where they visited the Mathematic and Scientific laboratories and learned about how they are used.

For one week, Saturday, October 29th to Thursday, November 3rd, there was a music therapy program held at the school for students in the 2nd through 7th grades. This program was supervised by Elizabeth Coombs, a University Lecturer at Wales University in the United Kingdom, in cooperation with our school’s Social Worker and the Administration Office.
On Monday, November 14, 2011, the students of the 11th grade gave a Powerpoint presentation on the twenty Palestinian Archaeological, Cultural, and Historical Sites that were recognized by UNESCO after Palestine’s acceptance into the organization as a member.

On Saturday, November 26, 2011, Dr. Twafic Salman was invited by the school to give a lecture about the students’ stress and anxiety towards examinations and how to control and deal with such effects. The lecture was presented to the 11th grade Art and Science Streams as well as their parents.
On Tuesday, November 28, 2011, a group from Australia visited the school and learned about the academic and extracurricular activities the school provides for students. The group also learned general information about the school and on-going programs available. The Students’ Senate also gave a brief presentation about the activities they put on for the students.
